About This Lesson
Help children aged 5–7 explore Expectations, trying again and believing they can learn with Ethan in this engaging RESPECTisms Kidz classroom lesson.
The Kite That Wouldn’t Fly
Ethan has never flown a kite before. When his first attempt doesn’t work, he thinks he won’t be able to do it. With encouragement from his friend, he gives it another try and discovers that his first attempt didn’t tell the whole story.
The story opens up an age-appropriate conversation about what we expect of ourselves, how encouragement can help and why learning sometimes takes more than one try.
